I’m Ali, a BAPT Registered Play Therapist based in East Linton, with a background in primary and secondary education.

I know how difficult it can be when a child is struggling and it isn’t always clear what is going on or what might help. I work with children experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including many neurodivergent children and children experiencing anxiety. Children don’t necessarily have the words to explain what they are experiencing, which is why I value giving them a space where they don’t have to.

My approach is child led and relationship focused. I create a space where children can be themselves, explore what they need to through play, and develop resilience and a stronger sense of who they are. I also value working alongside parents and carers, bringing together what they know about their child with what I see emerging in the playroom.
